Dana White has clarified another aspect of his plans for Zuffa Boxing following a major update.
On Monday, it was announced that Paramount will be the home for White’s Zuffa Boxing promotion that is set to start next year.
The confirmation of this major deal has led to several other important details being shared about exactly how it will differ from other promotions.
While White recently responded to the discussion around the Muhammad Ali act, this isn’t the only major change that the UFC president is hoping to make in boxing.

Dana White hints that Zuffa Boxing belts will be a golden ticket into Riyadh Season and The Ring contention
After Dana White’s initial tease of huge news was made official, some more details have been shared about what fans can expect from Zuffa Boxing.
People were critical of White after Canelo Alvarez vs Terence Crawford featured many of the sport’s aspects that he has criticized in the past.
However, this wasn’t him implementing his vision for Zuffa Boxing, which will, for a start, only recognize The Ring belt as the one world championship.
In a recent interview on Inside The Ring, Max Kellerman questioned whether Zuffa Boxing will have its own belts to act as a form of “national championship”.
While The Ring will still be the top prize that Zuffa Boxing recognizes, Kellerman asked whether there might be a secondary title that could serve as a golden ticket to earn a fighter a big matchup or world title fight with Riyadh Season.
White didn’t share too many details, but he did confirm that Kellerman is on the right track with how the promotion’s belts will be set up.
“You and I have never talked about this, but the answer is yes. That’s exactly what will happen. There will be a Zuffa belt and then there will be a Ring belt and yes, I will not recognize any of the other sanctioning bodies.”

Dana White believes that it will take two years before Zuffa Boxing truly kicks into gear
Dana White has big plans for Zuffa Boxing as he looks to try and replicate the success that he has had with the UFC.
During the Inside The Ring interview, Max Kellerman pointed out that while White always had high hopes for the UFC, it took a long time to execute a lot of his plans.

The UFC president responded, stating that he believes fans will start to really see Zuffa Boxing start to have its desired impact after two years.
“Two years. You’ll start to notice a big difference in two years and one of the things, without sounding arrogant, if you look back throughout the last 25 years of me being in the UFC, everything that I said I would do, I have done… I said I was waiting for the right time to get into boxing. Here we are now and over the next two years, I will put my head down and I will grind and start to implement my vision.”
