Dana White’s deleted tease of huge news potentially revealed in new update for game-changing move

Dana White could be set to announce some massive news in the near future.

The UFC president has several huge projects on the go right now that could receive substantial updates at any moment.

Fighters are still trying to make it clear to White that they want in on the UFC’s one-off event at the White House in 2026.

While the UFC’s White House event has been used as a punchline in recent times, it’s going to continue what will be a huge year for the promotion due to their new broadcast deal.

Earlier this week, White got fans speculating on social media following the tease of some news that never amounted to anything.

Zuffa Boxing reportedly close to agreeing multi-year broadcast deal with Paramount

Before writing a follow-up post on social media to admit that he “jumped the gun”, Dana White teased on September 24 that something big was going to happen.

The UFC president had posted an image of him smoking a cigar, adding in the caption that he “had a feeling today is gonna be an incredible day.”

A new report suggests that comparisons that were made between this and White’s post regarding the UFC’s rights deal with Paramount were along the right lines.

MMA Fighting backed up initial comments from The Puck’s John Ourand that Zuffa Boxing is “likely” set to sign a multi-year deal with Paramount.

The report also notes that an announcement could be coming as soon as next week to confirm where White’s attempt to shake up the boxing world will land.

We already know that the promotion will be set up by TKO Group and funded by the Saudi Arabia General Entertainment Authority, with an average of 12 cards per year.

Boxing legend Roy Jones Jr. is skeptical about Dana White’s boxing plans

One of the biggest talking points regarding Zuffa Boxing has been the promotion’s controversial plans to make significant changes to the sport.

By proposing the Muhammad Ali American Boxing Revival Act, this would give the promotion the ability to avoid working with sanctioning bodies and have their own belts.

In a recent interview with MMA Knockout, boxing legend Roy Jones Jr. said that he believes this would immediately be a negative against the promotion, especially for historians of the sport like himself.

“If you take that away from boxing, you’re killing a lot of their history. And a lot of people, like myself, are not going to be happy with that,” Jones Jr. continued. “So I don’t like it, no.

“I don’t think (White will) be a positive. If he found out a way to work with the sanctioning bodies and do everything else, he’d be positive because he’s done it with the UFC.”
