5 Opponents Darren Till could face next including rematch with the only man to KO him after explosive Luke Rockhold win

At Misfits Boxing 22, Darren Till continued the year where he has gotten his career back on track.

The former UFC star’s third appearance in the promotion in 2025 brought him his third win, with this one being the most impressive of the lot.

Till stopped Luke Rockhold in devastating fashion in the third round following a heated build-up between the two men.

‘The Gorilla’ has spoken about wanting to return to MMA at a later date but he could be on the cusp of some big clashes inside the ring.

While Till made it pretty clear after the fight who he wants next, there are several names that could be lined up to be his next opponent.

5. Carl Froch

One of the big names that Darren Till has had a rivalry with for some time now is boxing legend Carl Froch, who was in attendance on Friday night in Manchester.

The biggest issue with this potential matchup is that ‘The Cobra’ hasn’t competed since his rematch with George Groves in May of 2014.

Froch responded to Till’s callout shortly after the fight, stating that he isn’t writing off a return after labelling the fight as “easy money”.

4. Tommy Fury

Till was set to face Tommy Fury in his Misfits Boxing debut earlier this year before the fight was canceled last December.

Fury received a lot of criticism after pulling out of the matchup due to concerns that his opponent would try to significantly injure him by breaking the rules and throwing a kick.

While this would be a big risk for Tyson Fury’s younger brother to take, the rivalry that has been built between the two men would certainly make for a huge showdown.

3. Nate Diaz

Darren Till claimed ahead of his win over Luke Rockhold that there was a different opponent that was originally being lined up for him.

Till said that Nate Diaz withdrew from the fight, with ‘The Gorilla’ suggesting that it was due to the weight, despite him agreeing to whatever the other party wanted.

Diaz recently stated that he’s open to competing in boxing alongside his goal of returning to the UFC, which could leave the door open for this to be rebooked in the near future.

2. Mike Perry

If there’s one opponent that Till has spoken more about fighting in recent years than anyone else, it’s BKFC star Mike Perry.

The history between the two men goes back to their UFC careers, though they’ve taken very different paths since they both departed the Octagon.

‘Platinum’ currently has a fight booked with Jeremy Stephens, though BKFC’s president did say that Till was one of the names being discussed for this clash until he became busy with Misfits.

1. Jorge Masvidal

Jorge Masvidal might not be the most likely option of all the names on this list, but there’s certainly an argument that this would be the biggest fight to make.

To this day, Masvidal is the only man to have knocked Till out, having pulled off a massive win when they met inside the Octagon back in 2019.

A Misfits boxing ring might be the perfect opportunity for ‘The Gorilla’ to finally get a rematch he has been pursuing for a long time.

It’s worth noting that Jake Paul isn’t included on this list.

While he’s certainly a big opponent that Till has shown a lot of interest in fighting, it doesn’t seem like there’s any chance of their paths crossing anytime soon.
