Nate Diaz has reportedly left Darren Till scrambling for a fight after pulling out of a planned August 2 boxing meeting.
The legendary former lightweight title contender has been out of action since his shock win over Jorge Masvidal in their ring rematch last summer. He recently walked out of a reality show where he was competing against Jon Jones after a mass brawl.
Now, Till and his management are claiming that a deal was made for him and Diaz to fight on a Misfits Boxing event in August. However, they say that the American pulled out of the bout over a dispute with weight.
Nate Diaz reportedly turns down Misfits Boxing fight with Darren Till
Darren Till took to social media on Thursday afternoon to share a video in which he shredded Nate Diaz for supposedly pulling out of a fight that was scheduled for August 2. Misfits Boxing have been putting together a major event for the late-summer, recently signing up social media star Aaron ‘The Plumber’.
However, it seems that Diaz took issue with Till’s weight after the former welterweight title contender ballooned up to bordering on the cruiserweight limit for his last two fights. “I had fight news to announce,” he told fans in a video.
“Basically Nate Diaz called the fight on with me he wanted to fight me on August 2. He called everything he called the weight and I accepted, I got straight into camp on Monday and now he’s pulled out of the fight.”
Darren Till is now struggling to find an opponent for August fight date
Till is eager to fight, but insists that a number of opponents are either pricing themselves out of the event or want more time. He listed boxing legend Carl Froch, who reportedly needs months to prepare, in a lengthy string of names.

The fight that fans have wanted for years is with Mike Perry, but the Dirty Boxing Championship boss and BKFC ‘King of Violence’ reportedly wants seven figures. Even two of his former opponents who have stoppage wins over him have opted against the rematch.
Till claims that Tyron Woodley – who dropped and submitted him in their 2018 UFC title fight – is interested in a second fight, but isn’t able to do it this summer. And he said that Jorge Masvidal, who viciously knocked him out a few months later, is also not keen on another go.
