Former world champion who fought Canelo Alvarez declares himself the ‘most realistic’ opponent for Darren Till

A former world champion who has a history with Darren Till believes that there’s a strong chance of seeing them fight each other.

After building some serious momentum in Misfits this year, the former UFC star has been targeting some huge names.

Carl Froch has suggested that he’d give some thought to fighting Till and coming out of retirement following their feud in recent times.

While there hasn’t been an update on this, Till was also confident that he could face Andrew Tate in a huge boxing match.

Despite recognizing that their matchup wouldn’t be as big as some of the other ones that ‘The Gorilla’ has been linked with, another one of his rivals believes that he’s a far more realistic fight.

Rocky Fielding believes he’s the most realistic opponent for Darren Till due to his demands

After Darren Till put his MMA career on hold, he was very clear that he’s in boxing to make as much money as possible.

That means trying to tempt huge names to take a fight with him, with Till having Jake Paul as one of his several key targets.

However, another fighter that the former UFC title challenger has attacked on social media is the 38-year-old boxer Rocky Fielding.

Till’s fellow Liverpudlian star is a former WBA (regular) super middleweight champion, who lost his title to Canelo Alvarez in December of 2018.

“Realistically, Tommy Fury’s not happening with him because he pulled out,” Fielding told iFL TV. “Froch is back and forth and the only option that realistically can happen like that is me.”

Fielding believes that, unlike many of the other potential opponents that Till could share the ring with, his demands are very clear, which would make for a much easier negotiation period.

“Definitely because I’m not going to say I’m the A-side. I’m not going to say I want this much. I’m not going to say I want to ring walk first. I’ve said, a date, a reasonable offer and I’ll take the fight. No problem.”

Rocky Fielding is gearing up for a return to the ring having not fought since 2022

It has been three years since Rocky Fielding last fought, but this is set to change later this year when he returns to the ring.

The Brit went 33-3 in his pro career, with his only losses coming to Callum Smith, Canelo Alvarez and Dan Azeez in his final bout.

Fielding told iFL TV that he isn’t getting carried away with what he hopes to accomplish by stepping back through the ropes.

“I’m not stupid. It’s been three years but I’m in the gym every day and I haven’t really… the reason I retired was inactivity. I didn’t take no beatings in my career. I’m not coming back and fighting top 15, top 10 fighters.”
