Ilia Topuria has continued to go after Terence Crawford following their recent exchanges.
The current UFC lightweight champion has expressed his interest in a huge crossover fight with boxing’s current pound-for-pound king.
Crawford defeated Canelo Alvarez this past weekend in Las Vegas to earn the biggest win of his career.
While ‘El Matador’ is clearly very interested in the possibility of stepping inside a boxing ring, Crawford recently dismissed Topuria when he was asked about the potential matchup.
Unsurprisingly, this wasn’t enough to get the current MMA star to back down from his pursuit.

Ilia Topuria posts a clip from a previous Terence Crawford podcast to disprove his recent comments
In a response to Terence Crawford, Ilia Topuria recently claimed that the boxing star’s memory was “failing” him due to a previous interaction that they had.
Before ‘Bud’ went on to claim that he’s never seen Topuria fight before, the entire narrative between them stemmed from comments made by Crawford during his appearance on the Full Send Podcast earlier this month.
Crawford named who he believes is the best boxer in the UFC, snubbing Topuria, who would certainly be in contention to be the consensus choice.
The UFC lightweight champion’s latest response to the current undisputed super middleweight champion used a clip from the American’s answer to try and disprove the idea that he’s unfamiliar with him.
During the podcast appearance, when Crawford revealed his answer to the best boxer question, he was then asked whether he’s seen Topuria fight recently, to which he replied, “Yeah, but I don’t know man.”
‘El Matador’ posted this exact clip from the podcast to try and prove his point.
Dana White was asked about the potential of Ilia Topuria facing Terence Crawford last week
At the pre-fight press conference in Las Vegas last week, Dana White shared his opinion on whether we could see Ilia Topuria face Terence Crawford in some kind of crossover fight.
Of course, he’s made this happen on one previous occasion, with Conor McGregor facing Floyd Mayweather in a historic boxing match.

The UFC president now being involved in boxing could, in theory, open up more of these opportunities; however, White made it pretty clear that he’s not interested.
He replied, “I certainly hope not” when asked about the possibility of it actually happening.
