The bizarre feud between UFC lightweight champion and boxing champion Terence Crawford continues to brew.
This past Saturday, Terence Crawford scored the biggest win of his career thus far when he dethroned Canelo Alvarez to become the undisputed super middleweight champion.
Prior to his fight with the longstanding Mexican champion, Crawford found himself in somewhat of a feud with UFC lightweight champion, Ilia Topuria.
‘El Matador’ posted an image of him and Crawford embracing during an impromptu meeting, and asked fans to pick who they think would win in a fight out of the two.

Topuria sends threat to Crawford as feud continues to brew
Ultimately, the Spaniard’s question to the fans confused Crawford who went on to label Topuria as ‘drunk’ for claiming that he would beat him in a boxing match.
Although the UFC champion is seemingly attempting to build a rivalry between him and the boxing champion, UFC boss Dana White has always been against crossover fights that include his fighters.
Despite that, the 28-year-old is confident that he can convince White to let him box Crawford, especially now with White involved in the sport of boxing with TKO boxing.
However, ‘Bud’ is clearly uninterested in a clash against Topuria, at least for now, revealing after his fight that he didn’t even know who Topuria was and has never seen him fight before.
“You say you’re an MMA fan but you don’t even know who I am…. Interesting,” Topuria responded with a post on X.
“The first time we met you told me ‘good luck this week with your fight.’ Your memory fails you… And soon, your chin will too. I’ll represent the entire MMA community. Pound-for-pound number one in real fights vs the pound-for-pound boxer,” Topuria continued.
Crawford used Topuria’s walkout song for historic fight
Although Crawford claims that he was unaware of who Topuria is and that he’s not interested in a crossover fight against him, he did walkout for his fight against Canelo to Topuria’s walkout song.
The super middleweight champion continues to claim that it was a coincidence and that he didn’t know ‘El Matador’ walks out to the same song.
