Terence Crawford dominated Canelo Alvarez over 12 rounds in their highly-anticipated super-fight tonight live on Netflix.
With millions watching, Dana White delivered a massive spectacle for his first boxing event alongside the sport’s most influential man Turki Alalshikh. Despite his distaste for stadium events, White had no problem packing out 65,000 seats at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
The event landed the third biggest gate in boxing history, and was the largest at a stadium in America. And with stars such as Mike Tyson, Mark Wahlberg and MrBeast watching on from ringside, two undisputed champions put it all on the line in Las Vegas.

Canelo Alvarez vs Terence Crawford result
After months of build-up, Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford finally came to blows at the Allegiant Stadium on Saturday night. The Mexican star, celebrating Independence Day weekend, boasted undisputed world title credentials at the weight, where his American counterpart was a debutant.
While Dana White’s insistence that pacing would be different seemed to fall by the wayside, the duo did eventually get in the ring around 10pm local time, or 1pm on the East Coast. Their first round was a tentative one, with Alvarez moving and looking to establish his dominant position.

The second was much of the same, although Crawford did begin to land combinations at an early stage. And it began to open up in the third as the American seemed to have an answering combination to everything that was thrown at him.
Right at the end of the fourth, Alvarez finally got through with a big right hand, which appeared to catch the attention of Crawford. And he built on that in the fifth as he put the pressure on with volume, although the American caught him in the sixth to remind him who was on top in the fight.
Over the next few rounds, Crawford looked so good that by round eight, Alvarez was offering him a fist bump between rounds. However, he didn’t oblige and the pair got so close in the ninth that there was a clash of heads, which resulted in a cut for the American.
Prior to the fight, Netflix had yet to air a knockout in a main card bout. That record continued as the pair went to battle in the twelfth, but neither man could get the stoppage and the bout went to the judges’ scorecards.
Crawford was announced a clear winner, scoring 116-112 on one scorecard and 115-113 on the other two.
Dana White boasted of Canelo Alvarez vs Terence Crawford success pre-fight
UFC boss White has long been a fan of the sport of boxing, and perhaps as big a critic of the business behind it. And during pre-fight media duties, he noted that he was heavily involved in two of the biggest earning fights in recent memory.
White famously allowed Conor McGregor to fight Floyd Mayweather in 2017 in what became a massive crossover event that came in as the second-highest selling event of all time. And he tonight oversaw the third in Alvarez vs Crawford.
“To all you boxing guys out there that want to talk crap and talk all your smack,” White goaded. “Three of the biggest fights in boxing history: Pacquiao vs. Mayweather, McGregor vs. Mayweather, and now Crawford vs. Canelo.
“I’ve been a part of two of the three biggest fights ever in the history of boxing. Suck on that one, boys!”
