Ryan Garcia isn’t a fan of the upcoming exhibition mismatch between Jake Paul and Gervonta Davis.
The 27-year-old was knocked out by a body shot when he boxed Gervonta Davis for real in April 2023.
Still, Ryan Garcia thinks ‘Tank’ is biting off more than he can chew by taking on Jake Paul, who is 6ft 1in tall and has weighed as much as 227lbs during his 12-1 boxing career.
Gervonta Davis is 5ft 5in and typically weighs in at 135lbs, but he believes size won’t matter against the novice boxer.

Ryan Garcia critiques Jake Paul vs Gervonta Davis
Ryan Garcia called Jake Paul vs Gervonta Davis delusional when the fight was first announced in August.
Paul believes the reason Garcia doesn’t like the matchup is that it gives him the chance to beat Davis.
“I think he’s just mad I’m gonna get an opportunity to beat ‘Tank’ and he obviously got knocked out and embarrassed,” Paul said in an interview.
“It’s really sad to see how dishonest he is,” Garcia replied on X.
“You are 200 pounds plus, you’ll make the 195-pound limit, then shoot to 215 most likely. And you lie to yourself to hype yourself up, you are fighting a 135-pound fighter, but you don’t see how that is a bit misleading. Lying to yourself sucks.”
Garcia added: “Dana white said it, I’m saying it, no one’s hating, just fight someone your f—ing size. I loved his fight with [Julio Cesar Chavez] Jr, they were practically the same size, and he got full credit from myself and everyone else. So it’s not hating, just keeping things in order.”
What did Dana White say?
Dana White offered a surprise prediction for the Jake Paul vs. Gervonta Davis fight he hates during a recent appearance on Logan Paul‘s podcast.
In the same breath, the UFC CEO called out the Paul Brothers for fighting opponents who are much smaller than they are.
“I don’t hate your brother,” White told Logan Paul.
“You know what is funny about your brother? He’s going to fight f—ing Gervonta Davis.
“You guys need to fight guys your f—ing same size. When you fought Floyd, you are massive, you’re a massive f—ing dude. Floyd’s tiny, and I’m sure when you were training, you’re like, ‘Alright, I’m gonna hit this guy with a couple punches and grab him, tie him up’.
“And he did hit you with a bomb of an overhand right one time, and you f—ing ate it. You ate that punch.
