Noche UFC chalked up another rare stoppage after a fighter suffered a horrific injury.
The action has come thick and fast at Noche UFC, with three finishes in four fights to get the night underway.
Daniil Donchenko set the tone in the opener by stopping Rodrigo Sezinando in the first round to become the latest ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ winner.
With Donchenko admitting ahead of the fight that he was having financial struggles, there was another fighter who revealed similar issues ahead of September 13.
Sedriques Dumas had a lot riding on his return to the Octagon but it was cut short in San Antonio.

Sedriques Dumas couldn’t continue after being kicked low by Zachary Reese
The middleweight contest between Sedriques Dumas and Zachary Reese hadn’t even reached the minute mark before there was a pause in the action.
Reese had accidentally landed a kick to his opponent’s groin and it was immediately clear that this could have a serious impact on the outcome of the fight.
Dumas was clearly in pain which isn’t surprising given the force that the kick landed with when it was shown in replays.
Dumas spoke to the doctor while trying to recover for the vast majority of the five-minute break that was called, where he regularly made it seem like this was going to be the end of the fight.
‘The Reaper’ made some alarming comments to the referee during this time about what he was feeling, before clearly stating that he couldn’t get up, which led to the bout being declared a no contest.
The fans, who were clearly growing tired of the long break, chanted for Dumas to “get up” at one point, before the decision was made to wave the fight off entirely.

Back-to-back Noche UFC fights ended in rare stoppages
It’s not every UFC card where you see a fight get called off due to a foul, especially one that was as difficult to watch as the kick that landed on Sedriques Dumas.
However, this fight wasn’t the only bout that took place early at Noche UFC which featured a stoppage that you rarely see inside the Octagon.
The previous bout was also impacted by an injury, with Alessandro Costa struggling to get back to his feet at the end of the second round.
Alden Coria took advantage of this at the start of the third round, putting the pressure on Costa before his corner threw in the towel.
