The PFL finals arrived in North Carolina last night where several statement performances took place.
After the main event, Khabib Nurmagomedov was unhappy with the scorecards as Alfie Davis produced a stunning upset win over Gadzhi Rabadanov.
Another impressive display was delivered by Liz Carmouche, who continued her remarkable career longevity with a knockout win to become the flyweight World Tournament winner.
While there wasn’t a belt on the line for one of the biggest names on the promotion’s roster, his outing on August 15 was still hugely important after what happened in his last outing.

Biaggo Ali Walsh bounces back from his first defeat with a slick knockout at the 2025 PFL World Tournament Finals
Last time out, Biaggio Ali Walsh suffered his first defeat when he was submitted by Ronnie Gibbs in June.
As the grandson of combat sports legend Muhammad Ali, there have been a lot of eyes on the prospect’s career throughout his amateur run and transition into being a professional.
He would’ve felt a lot of pressure on his shoulders when trying to bounce back from his first loss with so much attention surrounding him.
Fortunately for the 26-year-old, his second fight of 2025 saw him course correct and return to the win column.
Ali Walsh faced off with fellow American Adryan Grundy, who was making his PFL debut on August 15.
The third round saw Ali Walsh start to unleash some boxing combinations that had him going to the body and following up to the head.
After hurting his opponent, a big right hand sent him down to the canvas, with several follow-up strikes causing the referee to step in and wave the fight off.

Flavor Flav praises Biaggio Ali Walsh’s patience in his return to the win column
Muhammad Ali isn’t the only notable name that Biaggio Ali Walsh is closely associated with.
His godfather is legendary rapper Flavor Flav, a founding member of the legendary rap group Public Enemy.
In an interview with MMA Fighting after the fight, he gave his thoughts on his godson’s performance, praising his approach and mindset during the fight.
“I’m really proud of him because he took his time. He fought a really good fight and he had patience. Last night, I was talking to Biaggio about patience, and that’s the one thing that I have when it comes down to patience. I’d rather have patience than be in the hospital is one of them.”
Ali Walsh may still have some way to go in his career, but bouncing back from adversity was a big step for him to take on Friday night.
