One moment of Sean O’Malley’s decision win went viral in the aftermath of UFC 299.
In the second round, he connected with a picture-perfect knee on Vera’s jaw.
A loud crack echoed around the arena, but O’Malley’s opponent somehow managed to survive.
“Oh! Big knee,” UFC commentator Joe Rogan screamed when the shot landed.
“Granite,” he added about Vera’s chin. “I mean, it sounded like a bat hitting a watermelon.”
UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier declared: “It was as clean of a knee as you will ever see.”

Joe Rogan will be on commentary duty when Sean O’Malley rematches Merab Dvalishvili at UFC 316 on Saturday night.
The 30-year-old hasn’t fought since Dvalishvili took his bantamweight title with a dominant decision win at UFC 306 last September.
Since then, ‘The Machine’ has beaten Umar Nurmagomedov to establish himself as an all-time great 145lb fighter.
Rogan is not sure how O’Malley will upset the odds when he rematches Dvalishvili this weekend.
“That’s an interesting fight, very interesting fight,” Rogan said on his podcast.
“I do not know how ‘Suga’ Sean keeps that guy off of him, but I do like what he’s been doing.
“[Merab is] a f—— animal. That guy’s superhuman, there’s no one like him.
“The cardio that guy has is off the charts. It’s just off the charts. I’ve never seen anything like it. He doesn’t get tired. He’s full gas, no brakes the entire fight. It’s just smothering, overwhelming people.
“Even Nurmagomedov, who’s also an animal, couldn’t keep him off of him. This motherf—– is crazy.”
