Influencer boxer Tommy Fury has revealed all about his disastrous 2024.
At the end of 2023, Tyson Fury’s little brother appeared to be on top of the world after beating Jake Paul and KSI in back-to-back fights that made him millions.
‘TNT’ also got engaged to his Love Island star partner, Molly-Mae Hauge, who had recently given birth to the young couple’s first child.
However, an injury brought Tommy Fury crashing back down to Earth with a bump last year.

Tommy Fury opens up about his awful 2024
Tommy Fury hasn’t boxed since picking up a controversial decision win over KSI in October 2023.
A hand injury has kept him sidelined ever since and had a massively negative impact on his personal life.
“I snapped all the ligaments in my hand and I had to have reconstructive surgery,” Fury told Mens Health.
“I was fighting for the next three years effectively with a broken knuckle in the middle. I used to put cortisone in there to numb my hand to get through training, to get through the fights. It was tough, but I just couldn’t afford the time out. I didn’t want to sit out for a year.
“I got to a point in the last fight where I couldn’t carry on anymore and I had to get the surgery. They told me it would be 10 months off at least.”
The 25-year-old struggled with his inactivity so much that he turned to alcohol, which only made things worse. Fury went through a very public break-up with his fiancée and is now putting the pieces of his life back together.
He added: “2023 was the best year that I’ve ever had. I won two multimillion-pound fights. I got engaged, I had a beautiful baby daughter, the lot. And then, all of a sudden, I was in a hospital bed being told that boxing might not be a thing for me anymore.
“Going from that [high] to that [low] – lying on the hospital bed knowing that I couldn’t fight, couldn’t train, couldn’t lift weights, couldn’t do any of that – [meant] my mental health was in the pan. Really bad.
“I’ve only lived for training and my family, and that was all snatched away from me. So what I did for fun is I started to drink quite a lot. I found that’s what made me feel better. When I didn’t drink, I’d just look at my hand and think, I might never be able to box again.
“I just wanted to feel somewhat happy. I’d go out and just drink and drink and drink. It went on that way for a long time. I said no to a lot of work because I wasn’t in the right headspace and started drinking more heavily, that’s what really got a grip on me.”
What’s next for Tommy Fury?
Tommy Fury was supposed to make his long-awaited and eagerly anticipated return to boxing on January 18.
A fight with former UFC star Darren Till was booked to headline Misfits X Series 20 in Manchester, England.
Fury decided to withdraw from the bout after Till threatened to kick him during their pre-fight press conference. One of his former opponents, Anthony Taylor, has since been booked to replace him at KSI’s first boxing show of 2025.
This year hasn’t started as expected, but Fury is confident that it will be much better than the last one.
“I’ve got my hand back now, everything’s great,” he concluded.
“I’m gonna get back in the ring real soon and I’m gonna pick up where I left off.
“I’m ready to do that now. I’ve wasted a year already of my life. I’m ready to just pick back up and have a great 2025 – an even better year than 2023.”
