Moments after dispatching a star once tipped to take the baton from Floyd Mayweather, Manny Pacquiao offered to fight the Michigan star in an impromptu rematch.
Sharing the ring with long-time enemy Floyd Mayweather as part of a once-in-a-lifetime pairing back in 2015, veteran fan-favorite Manny Pacquiao suffered a lopsided unanimous decision loss to the Grand Rapids star.
And despite the disappointing nature of their clash, fans have been clamoring for years for the two to share the ring again in a rematch.
However, off the back of a win for Pacquiao not long after, the Filipino star offered Mayweather an impromptu rematch — who was sat front row for the clash in question.

Manny Pacquiao called out Floyd Mayweather after win over Adrien Broner
Making his return to the ring against Timothy Bradley in a trilogy bout off the back of his loss to Mayweather, Pacquiao would prevail with a decision win before then defeating Jessie Vargas.
But in his penultimate career fight before his initial retirement from the ring, Pacquiao was pitted against Adrien Broner — with the outspoken former champion once considered as the next Floyd Mayweather before his downturn in form.
And defeating the controversial star in a routine unanimous decision win in 2019, Pacquiao was gung ho on landing a rematch with Mayweather, who had been retired from boxing for two years at that stage.
Even offering the Hall of Fame icon the chance to step into the ring and “fight” him there and then in Las Vegas, Pacquiao’s request fell on deaf ears.
“Tell him (Floyd Mayweather) to come back to the ring, and we will fight,” Pacquiao told Jim Gray immediately after his win over Broner.
Despite Pacquiao’s request, Mayweather — who was in attendance, refused to enter the ring to face off with the icon.
Manny Pacquiao closing in on boxing return
Approaching his 47th birthday, former multi-weight world champion Pacquiao has sights firmly fixed on a return to the ring before the end of this year.
And linked with a host of fights including a potential title bout against Rolly Romero, as well as the outspoken Californian star Ryan Garcia, Pacquiao is closing in a return to action.
Namely, the Philippines superstar has plans in place to duplicate a prior record in the ring he set himself with his win over Keith Thurman over six years ago.
