Alex Pereira could have a super-fight on his hands after UFC 320.
Pereira, one of ten UFC fighters to win belts across two divisions, regained his light heavyweight title on Saturday night with a vintage first-round knockout of Magomed Ankalaev in the UFC 320 headliner.
Post-fight, ‘Poatan’ already has a few contenders waiting for a shot at him, including former champ Jiri Prochazka and the #3-ranked Carlos Ulberg.
That’s not all what’s out there for Pereira, as neighboring champion Khamzat Chimaev was quick to point out.

Khamzat Chimaev calls out Alex Pereira after UFC 320 title win
Middleweight king Chimaev took to X to do more than congratulate Pereira.
Chimaev still wants to fight him.
“@AlexPereiraUFC Congrats, now we need to finish our business,” Chimaev sent a message to Pereira.
‘Borz’ has been calling out Pereira for years, long before they became champions at 185 lbs and 205 lbs.
Time will tell if Chimaev and Pereira meet in the Octagon as it’s one of the biggest fights the UFC could make right now.
Alex Pereira’s takedown defense looked much improved vs. Magomed Ankalaev
Pereira vs. Chimaev is a striker vs. grappler matchup of the highest order.
Many have doubted the former kickboxing champion’s grappling defense in the past, but Pereira’s takedown defense has held up in both of his fights against Ankalaev.
In their first fight at UFC 313, Pereira defended all 12 of Ankalaev’s takedown attempts.
Pereira denied the Dagestani of another takedown attempt at UFC 320 before taking him out with punches.
