Jon Jones has spoken out for the first time since the tragic death of his brother.

Former NFL star Arthur Jones, a Super Bowl champion, passed away aged 39 on Friday.

24 hours later, Alex Pereira knocked out Magomed Ankalaev to win back the light heavyweight title he lost at UFC 313 in March.

‘Poatan’ used his post-fight interview to send a powerful message to Jon Jones and his family.

Jon Jones reacts to Alex Pereira’s UFC 320 tribute

Alex Pereira got everyone in attendance at UFC 320 to hold a moment of silence.

“We got some news recently,” he told Joe Rogan.

“Something has happened, so I wanna give my respect to Jon Jones and his whole family.

“I wanna ask everyone here and everyone at home to take a moment of silence for his brother.”

Moved by the gesture, Jon Jones took to X to send a two-word message to Pereira.

“Wow Alex,” the greatest MMA fighter ever tweeted alongside a praying emoji.

UFC fans were blown away by Alex Pereira’s touching tribute to Arthur Jones.

“Pure class,” one fan said. While another added: “Amazing.”

“Class you like. Well done, Alex,” a third person tweeted.
