Dana White responds to rumors of Ronda Rousey returning for UFC White House event

UFC boss Dana White has issued somewhat of a positive response in regards to rumors of Ronda Rousey’s potential comeback.

This past Saturday, the premier promotion returned to Las Vegas for UFC 320, which was headlined by a light heavyweight title fight between Alex Pereira and Magomed Ankalaev.

With it being such a huge event, UFC boss Dana White was of course in attendance, and after the fights, he went backstage to talk with the media to answer an array of different questions.

A main topic of conversation, as it will be until the event happens, was the upcoming event scheduled to take place at the White House next year.

White responds to rumors of Ronda Rousey’s return

Earlier this week, the promotions biggest ever star Conor McGregor revealed that his return to compete on the White House event was ‘signed’, sparking excitement amongst the fanbase.

However, during the UFC 320 post fight press conference, White poured cold water on McGregor’s comments, accusing him of telling lies about two things.

Another one of the UFC’s biggest ever stars, Ronda Rousey, has been rumored to be potentially gearing up for a return to the cage on what will be the biggest combat sports event ever.

Recently, the former UFC champion shared a video of her back in training, and she admitted that she is once again ‘finding love’ for MMA again.

And with the White House event set to be stacked from top to bottom, White was asked about Rousey’s potential return.

“Yeah, her and I are still very close and we talk, I would say we probably talk once every three months or something like that.

“She was in Vegas recently and she came by the offices but yeah, I don’t know what her plans are, I think she’s just training again. She just had three babies and she’s in a whole other place in her life.

“But, I will say this, she’s just had another baby and she’s in great shape right now, she’s frigging ripped like she used to be, so I don’t know,” he continued.

Who could Ronda Rousey face if she did make her UFC comeback?

‘Rowdy’ Ronda will always be one of the biggest stars to step foot in the promotion, and she pioneered women’s MMA, helping it grow into what it is today.

And with that being said, if she did declare her plans to make a comeback, she would undoubtedly be given an immediate title fight.

The current UFC women’s bantamweight champion is Kayla Harrison, another world champion Judoka just like Rousey, and a fight between the two would be the biggest women’s fight in the history of the sport.
