Things got tense as Saturday’s UFC 320 co-headliners faced off one last time.
Saturday’s UFC pay-per-view at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena will be topped by two title fights, as the stakes get high in both the light heavyweight and bantamweight divisions.
Before Alex Pereira challenges Magomed Ankalaev in their 205-pound main event rematch, 135-pound king Dvalishvili will face Sandhagen in what marks the Georgian’s third title defense of 2025.
After Dvalishvili submitted Sean O’Malley at UFC 316 this past June, many have pointed to ‘The Sandman’ as a tougher test for ‘The Machine’ owing to his well-rounded skill set. The champ, though, does not seem concerned and evidently wants the best Sandhagen has to offer on fight night.

Merab Dvalishvili’s last words for Cory Sandhagen before UFC 320
Ahead of the numbered event in ‘Sin City’ on October 4, the stars of UFC 320 stared each other down for last time at Friday’s ceremonial weigh-ins.
Many have suggested that both Dvalishvili and Sandhagen appear more serious and dialed in during the lead-up to their championship showdown. That was evident when they faced off on stage for the second time in fight week.
Having made their fight official by both hitting the bantamweight limit on the scale, the pair exchanged final words at the ceremonial weigh-ins.
Before the challenger called on those holding Dvalishvili in extremely high regard to keep the same energy when he wins, the champ had a stern three-word message for his rival during their face-off.
“Bring your balls,” Dvalishvili said.

Fans react to Merab Dvalishvili’s staredown statement to Cory Sandhagen
Fans were quick to react to Dvalishvili’s latest warning to Sandhagen.
It’s safe to say his face-off comment has made those backing the Georgian even more confident of hearing ‘and still’ on fight night.
“Merab is literally going to kill this guy.”
“This time Merab is more aggressive than ever.”
“Cory finally gets his shot. Too bad it’s against a maniac freak of nature.”
“Merab gonna climb all over that dude.”
“Merab is blossoming into a mad man, it’s beautiful.”
“Cory isn’t showing the same energy as he showed during ceremonial weigh ins.”
“Believe me, Merab will be a champion until he retires. It’s impossible to take his title.”
“He’s going to beat him up so bad it’s not even balanced.”
“Merab will maul him.”
