Conor McGregor sparks heated argument with Mike Perry after threatening to fire face of BKFC again

Conor McGregor and Mike Perry didn’t see eye-to-eye at the BKFC 82 press conference.

This Saturday in Newark, New Jersey, former UFC fighters and undefeated BKFC stars Mike Perry and Jeremy Stephens collide for the ‘King of Violence’ title in the main event of BKFC 82.

McGregor, a part-owner of the company, was front and center to face off the headliners at the BKFC 82 press conference on Thursday.

But, before he did, ‘The Notorious’ had a heated debate with Perry, the face of BKFC, regarding his fighting future.

Early in the presser, McGregor said he was ‘undecided’ on who wins between McGregor and Perry.

However, McGregor did mention how he’d ‘fire’ Perry from the BKFC again if he doesn’t perform on Saturday night.

Should Perry defend the King of Violence title, McGregor says his next fight must be against BKFC Middleweight Champion David Mundell for the world title.

“[David Feldman] said we gotta move the needle,” Perry said, seemingly uninterested in fighting Mundell, a champion he already knocked out twice in MMA.

“You got it to fight for the world title, Mike,” McGregor told Perry on stage.

“You’ve never been a world champion here, so you’re in here saying that this and that. You’re no world champion. So without a world title here in this promotion, I only start speaking as I spoke when I secured two UFC world titles.

“Well, I beat that world champion twice. I knocked him out twice in a different sport,” Perry said of Mundell.

“I’m gonna beat Jeremy’s ass on Saturday,” Perry added.

“Your next fight is for a world title. That will move the needle!” McGregor responded.

“Whenever they call, I accept,” Perry replied. If the fight ends up being Dillon Danis in MMA, or how about me and Conor at The White House? You need to fight an American who can win,” Perry suggested.

“Your next fight, Mike, if you win, by the way, Jeremy has some good shots, and your stances and movements and reactions, I see paths for Jeremy, a real path for Jeremy. However, your next fight, if you get through this, has got to be for a world title,” McGregor added.

“You should be climbing for a world title here in this organization. Not trying to piggyback around,” McGregor said.

“To me, the King of Violence title is a world title,” Perry responded to McGregor.

“No one cares about this s—,” McGregor said.

“Who cares about that bum that I knocked out twice. Obviously, nobody. He’s nobody,” Perry said of Mundell.

McGregor replied: “He’s the middleweight world champion, and you’re a f——… we made you. Who made you can break you. Who built you can kill you. You’re fighting for the world title if you get through this. Otherwise, you’re f—— nothing.

“If you don’t perform, you’re gone,” McGregor continued.

“If you don’t perform, you can go and do all these Mickey Mouse fights that no one gives a f— about. [Fights] that’ll generate nothing, and we won’t give a f— here at bare knuckle,” McGregor concluded.

Who is David Mundell?

David Mundell might not be the biggest name in BKFC, but he is their reigning and defending middleweight champion.

The 34-year-old Mundell has an impressive record of 10-1 in the BKFC Squared Circle and has four title defenses under his belt.

David Feldman says Mundell deserves to fight a massive name, confirming at the press conference they’re working on his next fight.

Mundell faced off with Perry at a BKFC press conference over the summer, wanting to avenge his two TKO losses to Perry from his MMA days.

One of the main arguments against Mundell fighting Perry is their MMA history as well as the fact that Mundell doesn’t have much of a social media presence, with a little over 18,000 followers on Instagram.
