Alex Pereira hilariously fires head kick at UFC legend moments after he asked for a truce

Alex Pereira is in a playful mood ahead of his UFC 320 title rematch against Magomed Ankalaev.

This coming Saturday, the premier promotion returns to the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas for UFC 320, headlined by a light heavyweight title rematch between Magomed Ankalaev and Alex Pereira.

When the two first met earlier this year in the UFC 313 main event, Ankalaev pulled off the shock victory when he out-struck Pereira for five rounds to win the title.

And ahead of their rematch on Saturday, tension has been growing between the two, and they almost clashed at the UFC PI earlier this week in an awkward meeting.

Pereira fires head kick at UFC legend in hilarious exchange

When he reigned as the light heavyweight champion, ‘Poatan’ was undoubtedly the biggest star in the UFC and he was somewhat carrying the promotion through a tough time.

And one reason why he is so popular amongst the fans is because of his stoic but also hilarious personality.

Someone who is very familiar with Pereira’s personality is UFC legend and former double champion, Daniel Cormier.

Over the last few years, Pereira and ‘DC’ have formed somewhat of a friendship, with Cormier interviewing him ahead of his last few fights.

A lot of their interactions over the last few years have gone viral, and it had almost become a formality for Cormier to greet Pereira with a single leg takedown attempt.

However, moments before their interview this time around, Cormier asked Pereira for a truce, to which the Brazilian hilariously rejected it and threw a head kick towards the defenseless legend.

“Truce, this guy, truce, no more jokes, everything even, all even,” Cormier pleaded with Pereira as he hid behind his coach.

Pereira could overtake Cormier in all-time light heavyweight rankings

The majority of the UFC fanbase is hopeful that ‘Poatan’ returns to winning ways and bounces back from his loss against Ankalaev last time out.

And if the 38-year-old does manage to walk out of Vegas as the 205lb champion again, he would overtake Cormier for the most amount of title fight wins in the division.
