Terence Crawford has done very little to quell fears of a sudden retirement from the ring.
Just weeks removed from his historic super middleweight title win over Canelo Alvarez, the unbeaten Terence Crawford remains tight-lipped on his immediate plans for boxing.
And despite links to a host of fights in his return to action, the Nebraska native remains non-committal on a return to the ring, after seeing a championship already taken from his grasp.
However, with a host of fights potentially on the horizon, Crawford — as he did on a future rematch with Canelo — claimed his immediate future is far from decided.

Terence Crawford provides latest update on boxing future
Himself undecided on his immediate future, Crawford’s head coach, Brian McIntyre, who has been drafted by Chris Eubank Jr. for his own rematch with Conor Benn, admitted he would like to see the Omaha star test the waters at 160lbs.
Linked to potential super fights against light heavyweight champion David Benavidez as well as an eventual rise to the weight class proper in a bid for another historic achievement, Crawford admitted his future was “up in the air”.
“To be honest, I don’t know what I’m gonna do,” Crawford said on the All The Smoke Fight podcast. “Like I said, everything is up in the air right now. I’m just enjoying my family, enjoying being able to say, ‘Look what I accomplished.’
“I’m just chilling, right now, I haven’t even got the time to sit down with my team and talk with them,” Crawford explained. “I talked with my family — I know what my family want. But you know, it’s a team effort.”
Terence Crawford urged to book historic title fight
As mentioned, Crawford has been heavily backed to make another move in weight classes — this time competing as high as light heavyweight.
And with a fight against current titleholder Benavidez long-mooted, a former foe of Canelo has urged Crawford to consider taking on the unified kingpin of the weight class.
