Russian giant scored scary 7-punch combo in one of the most brutal knockouts in heavyweight history

Heavyweight has been home to some incredible finishes throughout the years; however, Arslanbek Makhmudov is likely the proud holder of one of the best stoppages in recent memory.

A towering Russian heavyweight star, Arslanbek Makhmudov, will return to the ring later this month, attempting to position himself in contention for a sizable fight as he takes on British veteran favorite Dave Allen.

And beginning his career in the midst of an impressive 18-fight unbeaten run, Makhmudov — who towers at 6ft 5in — lays claims to some of the most impressive knockouts in recent history.

In just his fifth career fight, the ‘Lion’ would turn in one of the most devastating finishes in recent boxing memory, scoring a lengthy barrage before a big knockdown.

Arslanbek Makhmudov’s brutal knockout of Andrew Satterfield

Not on the radar of boxing aficionados during his initial rise, viewers of Makhmudov’s demolition against Andrew Satterfield in just his fifth walk to the ring should have been put on notice.

Turning in a stunning finish in just 36 seconds of the very first round, Makhmudov would extend his record to 18-0 as part of that run, before his stoppage loss to Agit Kabayel.

In spectacular fashion, Makhmudov would swarm Satterfield in seconds — rocking him with some of the heaviest hands fans have seen in recent heavyweight history.

Unleashing a staggering seven-punch combination in quick succession, Makhmudov sent Satterfield to the canvas — as the American prospect saw his corner throw a towel in to prevent any more punishment.

Primed for the big shows during his roughshod run through fellow contenders, Makhmudov would share the card with two of combat sport’s biggest names before too long.

In what ultimately came as the final victory of his impressive run of consecutive wins, Makhmudov was placed on a sizable card in the Middle East.

Sharing the ring with Junior Anthony Wright as he put his WBC-NABF heavyweight crown on the line, Makhmudov would continue his dominant run, stopping Wright inside the opening two minutes with another stoppage.

Later on that same card in 2023, then-WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury featured against former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou, as the Batié native almost brought round one of the biggest upsets in boxing history.
