A former UFC star is reportedly making the switch to boxing in his latest career update.
Darren Till’s UFC career ended in a decline that saw him receive a lot of criticism having been a star that the promotion were clearly behind.
After a long period of inactivity, the former welterweight title challenger has been able to rejuvenate his career in 2025.
Till is now targeting some huge boxing matches with the likes of Jake Paul after putting together an impressive run in the ring.
Another former UFC fighter could now be set to follow a similar path to ‘The Gorilla’ in the near future.

Alexander Gustafsson reportedly in talks with Misfits over boxing move
Alexander Gustafsson achieved a great career in the UFC, even if he never made it all the way to becoming a champion.
‘The Mauler’ has 18 UFC fights under his belt, having been a key contender in the light heavyweight division for many years.
Gustafsson’s classic fights with Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier will likely see him remembered as one of the best fighters to have never held the gold, but it now looks like he’s kicking off a new career.

A report from Swedish outlet Frontkick.online states that Gustafsson is currently in “advanced negotiations” with Misfits Boxing, the same promotion where Darren Till has achieved a lot of success.
It’s also noted in the report that part of the negotiations are to have the former UFC title challenger compete against a fellow former Octagon veteran.
The giant Swede initially retired from MMA in 2019 before returning the following year, competing two more times before being granted his release from the promotion in December of 2024.
Gustafsson signed with the GFL, but after the promotion’s initial events were cancelled indefinitely, this boxing transition seemingly came into the picture.

Jon Jones named Alexander Gustafsson as his best opponent several months back
Alexander Gustafsson’s first clash with Jon Jones at UFC 165 remains one of the greatest title fights in the history of the promotion.
‘The Mauler’ pushed ‘Bones’ in a way that fans hadn’t seen it before, with Jones referring to his former challenger as his best opponent when speaking at a Q&A session in June.
“He was my best opponent, yeah. What was it, Switzerland or Sweden? Yeah, Sweden. Yeah, he was my best opponent, he really pushed me and he was the only person to take me down in the UFC. Man, he cut me open and made me dig really hard.”
Jones would go on to beat Gustafsson in convincing fashion in their UFC 232 rematch for the vacant light heavyweight title.
