Gervonta Davis predicted to use forbidden tactic that Jake Paul will need special equipment to counter

In quite a bizarre turn of events, Jake Paul has been urged to nab himself some rather interesting equipment to deal with Gervonta Davis.

Drawing mass criticizm ahead of his return to boxing, the polarizing Jake Paul will draw current WBA lightweight champion Gervonta Davis in an exhibition return to the ring as soon as November.

And coming under fire far and wide amid the size discrepancy between the duo, Paul — who fought at heavyweight last year against Mike Tyson — has been blasted in the boxing community.

However, a rather vocal voice in that discourse has warned Paul that some nefarious techniques may be on show from Davis when they share the squared circle.

Jake Paul warned about low blow strikes from Gervonta Davis

Emerging with his unbeaten record narrowly in tow last time out against Lamont Roach Jr., the undefeated knockout kingpin Davis found himself quite fortunate to retain his title.

And ditching an immediate rematch with Roach Jr. in favor of taking on Paul in an exhibition showdown, Davis and the Ohio star have come under fire from Peter Fury — the uncle of former WBC gold holder Tyson Fury.

Describing the clash as nothing more than just a “money fight”, Fury boldly predicted Davis would look to utilize as many illegal low blow strikes as possible due to the bitter nature of his clash with Paul.

“I think Jake Paul is going to need a very strong crotch guard,” Fury told IFL TV.

“I’ll tell you, because I can see him getting hit in the b—- a lot [by Gervonta Davis],” Fury explained. He’s that height, isn’t he? …It’s all about the money, isn’t it? It’s a spectacle.”

And while Davis would likely be disqualified if he were to implement such a technique against Paul, the Ohio native has boldly vowed to throw an exhibition ruleset out the window when he takes on ‘Tank’.

Jake Paul provides latest prediction on Gervonta Davis matchup

Forced the distance in his recent wins over both Tyson and former world champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. earlier this summer, Paul has yet to record a stoppage win since the summer of last year.

And taking out former UFC welterweight star Mike Perry in a short-notice pairing with a seventh-round finish, Paul has vowed to stop Davis inside the distance, despite the presence of three ringside judges scoring the bout.
