Jake Paul’s dad launches outlandish attack on ‘braindead’ Gervonta Davis after press tour

Jake Paul’s dad was very angry after watching Gervonta Davis stumble his way through the pair’s launch press conferences this week.

Paul and Davis are set to do battle on November 14 in a massive exhibition boxing bout that will air on Netflix. It is being touted as the biggest fight of the year, and they came head to head for the first time this week at a pair of press conferences to kick off the event.

Aside from a few viral moments including their first face-off which showed off an absurd size difference, it is believed that the events did little to build interest in the fight. And Greg Paul, the father of one half of the main event, was thoroughly unimpressed with his son’s rival.

Whenever Jake Paul finds himself in trouble, it is often noted that he clearly got his outlandish nature from his dad Greg. And that was on full display in a bizarre new Instagram video, where the elder Paul tore into Gervonta Davis after the pair’s press conference.

The 61-year-old reality TV star held up a sign that read “Sorry to the boxing world! Thank you Jake Paul!” He captioned the post: “Uh duh uh duh um um November 14, what you say?

“Uh um duh, ax me da question again. Uh um what you say?? My team doesn’t know what the f— is going on??? Are you from miami?? Uh um duh.”

In the video, an enraged Paul asked fans if they had seen the press conference, before branding both Davis and his team “braindead”. He proceeded to declare that if ‘Tank’ was the face of boxing, it would be a dead sport before complimenting his son’s involvement.

Gervonta Davis claims he is retiring from boxing after Jake Paul fight

Davis has chosen the Paul fight instead of defending the WBA lightweight title in either a rematch with Lamont Roach or a unification with Shakur Stevenson. He today declared that the sport is ‘dead’, and insisted he will retire after the Paul fight.

Taking to X, Davis wrote to his 800,000 followers: “Boxing definitely did a turn.. It went from this side to that side.. And this s— has no loyalty so why would I care? I move accordingly. BOXING IS DEAD.”

When one fan told him to retire if he felt that way, Davis replied: “I am… In eight weeks.”
