Dwight Muhammad Qawi named opponent better than George Foreman and Evander Holyfield
Dwight Muhammad Qawi lost via fourth-round KO to Evander Holyfield back in 1987, before falling short to George Foreman in the seventh in his following fight.
However, despite this, he still rates ‘Miracle Matthew’ as his toughest foe.
In an old interview with The Ring Magazine, Qawi said: “They all presented a challenge. Michael [Spinks], he would always be a challenge for me.
“I shared a ring with Foreman, but not in his heyday. My best overall fighter whom I faced was Matthew Saad Muhammad. He reminded me of Sugar Ray Robinson.”
George Foreman got revenge on boxing star who hurt him in sparring
While Foreman might not have been the best in the eyes of Qawi, he certainly struck fear into many of his rivals.
In his time in boxing, the Texan landed countless explosive shots.
However, he had to take a few as well, with one training partner putting him down in sparring.
Of course, Foreman made sure he got his revenge.
