Jon Jones has set himself a lofty goal after stepping into the world of coaching.
The greatest MMA fighter of all time is currently chasing a spot on the UFC White House card.
Jon Jones wants to close out his legendary fight career with one last win at the unique event.
While he waits to see if UFC CEO Dana White will give him a shot, ‘Bones’ has taken on a coaching role with Gable Steveson, the Olympic gold medalist wrestler who has transitioned to MMA in 2025.

Jon Jones explains coaching move
Gable Steveson absolutely mauled his first MMA opponent in a 98-second win earlier this month.
Jon Jones admitted it felt ‘like cheating’ after his new career started with a quick victory.
The 38-year-old says finding such a talented athlete to train is what convinced him to start coaching.
“It’s not a matter of if he can, it’s a matter of when,” Jones replied when one of his X followers asked if Steveson could become a UFC champion.
“I’ve had many great teammates over the years, but I’ve always said if I would ever be a coach it would have to be a Wrestler who was completely committed to success.
“I found my guy and I’m excited to add world championship coach to my resume.”
What’s next for Gable Steveson?
Gable Steveson will put his MMA career on pause to fight in a new sport on October 30.
On Wednesday, it was announced that the 25-year-old will transition to Dirty Boxing at DBX4.
He’ll square off against Billy Swanson in the promotion co-owned by Jon Jones and Mike Perry.
Fans are interested to see how Steveson will cope without his greatest weapon, wrestling.
