Gennadiy Golovkin isn’t the heaviest hitter one former world title challenger has ever faced.
In his career, ‘Triple G’ cemented his status as one of the most fearsome fighters to have graced the squared circle.
Golovkin ruthlessly knocked out Daniel Geale, stopped David Lemieux and finished Curtis Stevens.
However, despite his dynamite hands, there’s a former boxer out there who believes another of his opponents was a bigger puncher than the Kazakh.
WOW: What happened when Canelo Alvarez and Gennadiy Golovkin sparred before their trilogy?

George Groves hit harder than Gennadiy Golovkin, says Martin Murray
Martin Murray battled it out with Gennadiy Golovkin back in 2015, producing a valiant effort, en route to falling foul to the superstar’s power in the 11th round.
However, while the Englishman confesses that his old rival definitely packs a punch, he doesn’t think the former unified middleweight title-holder has as much venom in his shots as ‘St George’.
In an interview with BoxNation from 2017, he said: “When I fought Groves, I felt Groves’ power more.
“Groves goes on about his jab, but Golovkin had a better jab for me — it’s solid. Golovkin’s distance is just right; he’s there, but he’s not, and every shot he hits you with, it’s solid. He’s sticking that solid jab out, and he’s got good power in his right hand.
“But I thought George had more power, in one punch, in his backhand.”
Gennadiy Golovkin was stunned by a massive uppercut from a huge underdog
Golovkin landed many an explosive shot during his career.
However, he’s had to take a few as well.
During one fight, the warrior really had to bite down on his gumshield.
In a brutal battle, Golovkin was rocked by a monstrous blow.
