Conor McGregor warns Mike Perry he may ‘sack him again’ if he fails to do one thing at BKFC 82

The back-and-forth between Conor McGregor and BKFC star Mike Perry shows no sign of ending.

Since McGregor became a co-owner of BKFC (Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship), the former two-division UFC champion has not shied away from making his thoughts known.

‘The Notorious’ has become a prominent figure in the organization’s promotional work, often appearing at press conferences and sitting ringside at events.

Among those who have likely felt McGregor’s arrival the most is Perry, the leading star in bare-knuckle boxing. The pair developed somewhat of a feud after McGregor’s reaction to Perry boxing Jake Paul in the summer of 2024.

The polarizing Irishman claimed to have fired ‘Platinum’ because of his performance, and he’s willing to do so again.

Conor McGregor says Mike Perry’s ‘trial’ will end if he does not perform at BKFC 82

The illegitimacy of McGregor’s claim was quickly clear after Paul defeated Perry. But that has not stopped the Irishman from making a similar threat in the lead-up to BKFC 82.

In the main event at Newark’s Prudential Center on October 4, Perry will fight Jeremy Stephens. The bout will mark ‘Platinum’s’ first since April 2024, and McGregor recently told the American that his job is at stake.

“Mike Perry is back to @bareknucklefc October 4th, New Jersey, on trial basis only,” McGregor wrote.

“If he underperforms, I SACK HIM AGAIN LIVE IN FRONT OF 17,000 FANS.”

Conor McGregor ‘100 percent’ guarantees he will fight in BKFC

Thus far, McGregor and Perry’s exchanges have come as part of a back-and-forth between fighter and co-owner. Down the line, though, that dynamic could shift.

Amid ongoing talk of McGregor making his UFC comeback at the White House, the Irishman recently made a guarantee regarding his fighting future that surrounds a return away from the Octagon.

“I am 100% fighting bare knuckle,” McGregor wrote on X.

Should the former two-division UFC champion follow through on that comment in the future, he likely won’t be short on opponent options.

In addition to Perry, a number of rivals from the Dubliner’s UFC tenure have competed in bare-knuckle boxing. That includes Eddie Alvarez and Jeremy Stephens, the latter of whom was the victim of McGregor’s infamous press conference quip in 2016.
