Joe Rogan went on wild rant about ‘insane’ error after UFC Perth star’s infamous fight with Jon Jones

Joe Rogan was absolutely furious in the aftermath of Jon Jones’ most controversial win.

The popular podcaster was on commentary duty for a light heavyweight title bout in February 2020.

In the eyes of many, Dominick Reyes did enough to beat the greatest fighter of all time at UFC 247.

Jon Jones ultimately walked away with a unanimous decision victory that is still hotly debated more than five years later.

Joe Rogan’s mad rant at UFC judge

Joe Rogan had no issue with Jon Jones winning a razor-thin decision against Dominick Reyes.

However, he got really angry about one of the judges handing in a 49-46 scorecard when the other two scored the fight 48-47 in favor of Jones.

“I can’t argue about this enough,” Rogan said.

“I can’t get angry enough. I’ve done it so many times.

“For anyone to think that was 4-1 Jon Jones, that person’s insane. They’re insane.

“Dominick Reyes put on a hell of a fight tonight. And to disrespect that performance by that kind of judging is insane.”

What’s next for Dominick Reyes?

Falling just short against Jon Jones was the start of Dominick Reyes’ long losing streak.

The 35-year-old was knocked out in four consecutive fights before reviving his career.

Now, ‘The Dominator’ is on a three-fight winning streak and back in the light heavyweight title picture.

Reyes will look to cement himself as a top contender in the UFC Perth main event on Saturday night.

Carlos Ulberg is potentially all that stands in the way of Reyes and a second shot at 205lbs UFC gold.

Magomed Ankalaev and Alex Pereira will rematch for the light heavyweight title at UFC 320 on October 4.

Reyes could face the winner of that fight and complete his incredible comeback journey if he gets by Ulberg this weekend.
