Should it be Conor McGregor or Jon Jones headlining White House card?: Icon says the answer is clear

Conor McGregor and Jon Jones are both desperate to headline the UFC White House card.

While relatively inactive, there’s no doubt the pair of superstars would both generate a huge buzz.

According to David Feldman, McGregor is looking fantastic ahead of his potential return.

However, one fan favorite doesn’t think he’d be the right choice for the significant event.

Matt Brown says Jon Jones should headline White House card

Matt Brown believes Conor McGregor has no right to headline at the White House.

However, he’d be more than happy to watch Jon Jones make the walk to the octagon.

In the latest episode of MMA Fighting’s ‘The Fighter vs. The Writer’, Brown said: “I guess the thing with Conor, is it going to draw the interest that we think it would?”

“We would all talk about it him fighting, but Michael Chandler and Conor McGregor is a completely irrelevant fight. Right? There’s no relevance whatsoever. Does nothing other than I guess sell tickets maybe?”

“Jon Jones brings a lot to the table, right? The GOAT. He’d be fighting for a title, I’m sure, against Tom Aspinall, assuming he beats Ciryl Gane.

“I think Jon Jones would do fine. The White House is going to be a big card. If you want an American, you’ve got to go with Jon Jones. There’s no one I could think of that would be legitimate enough.”

Jon Jones can earn his spot on the UFC White House card if he does one specific thing

While Brown would like to see Jones fight at the historic event, Dana White isn’t so keen on the idea.

The UFC President has publicly claimed that it’s unlikely the legend will get his wish after refusing to face Aspinall.

However, ‘The American Gangster’ believes his countryman can redeem himself.

Interestingly, Chael Sonnen explained how Jones can get on the White House card.
