Gervonta Davis took issue with one aspect of the announcement for his fight with Jake Paul.
On Monday, the two men who will meet on November 14 came face-to-face at a press conference in New York City.
While Paul and Davis unsurprisingly hit each other with a few verbal blows, there was a much more important aspect to this initial meeting.
The main takeaway for a lot of fans was seeing the startling size discrepancy between Paul and Davis on show in their first face off.
While there are rules in place to try and stop this from becoming an even wider gap, it doesn’t seem like ‘Tank’ is fully on board with them.

Gervonta Davis questions the weight limit for his fight with Jake Paul at the press conference
The rules for Jake Paul vs Gervonta Davis were a major issue for some fans following the fight being moved from Atlanta to Miami.
Some more clarification was added to the ruleset during the press conference, with it being outlined exactly how Paul and Davis will meet in the ring.
A crucial aspect of the fight is a weight limit that prevents the already much larger ‘Problem Child’ from making this an even bigger advantage before the bout starts.
Nakisa Bidarian, the co-founder of Most Valuable Promotions, announced during the press conference that the limit will be set at 195 pounds.
At this moment, Davis looks towards his next opponent, claiming that he was told it was going to be 190 pounds instead.
Paul laughed off this comment before Bidarian responded to Davis’ repeated questioning of this rule, claiming that ‘Tank’ already knew that this was the case.

Jake Paul made fun of the huge size discrepancy between him and Gervonta Davis
Jake Paul chose not to ignore the huge height discrepancy between him and Gervonta Davis during their press conference.
Instead, he made fun of this mismatch element of the fight, joking that he has taken extra precautions in his training camp to prepare for this.
“Yeah, just a lot of punching down. Hitting below my knees and a lot of speed. We’re sparring some 8-year-olds. I’ve got 8-year-olds in there.”
Davis was asked at one point in the press conference how much he expects to weigh when he steps inside the ring, though this line of questioning was quickly derailed by Paul mocking him.
