Gervonta Davis has hit out at fans claiming that he will be paid off to lose against Jake Paul in their fight this November.
The lightweight world champion will face influencer-turned-boxer and career cruiserweight Paul on November 14 at the Kaseya Center in Florida. As a result of their massive weight discrepancy, the fight will be an exhibition, although a winner will be decided by judges if it goes the distance.
It has become a staple of Paul critiques to accuse the YouTuber of rigging his events, so much so that he has had to bring in a star lawyer to help defend the legitimacy of his 12-1 record. However, ‘Tank’ has nipped the idea of a fix in the bud with a quick reply to a fan on social media.

Gervonta Davis replies to Jake Paul fight fix allegations
Gervonta Davis is known to be an outspoken figure, particularly when it comes to engaging with fans on social media. He kept that streak going when one fan asserted on social media that his fight with Jake Paul would be rigged.
One user tagged Davis claiming the boxing champion “is intentionally taking the fall this fight. Remember I said it.” And he quickly replied from his verified account, keeping it brief but definitive as he declared “I would never…”
It follows Paul’s insistence that anyone saying the fight is fixed is a ‘slug’. “Reading tweets by these slugs saying Tank going to take a dive,” he wrote on X. “I’m really that f—— great that you all are making excuses already.”
Jake Paul has hired legal counsel to defend against rigged fight accusations
Last month, Paul announced that he would be hiring lawyer Alex Spiro, who has represented the likes of Elon Musk and Alec Baldwin in the past.
His plan was to shut down anyone claiming his fights, which are sanctioned professionally and bet on at a rate of millions of dollars, are rigged, which is a federal crime. The YouTuber has spared no expense, bringing in A-List attorney Alex Spiro.

The New Yorker reportedly charges around $3,000 an hour for his services, and is renowned for aggressively protecting the reputations of his clients.
In a statement to the Daily Mail, Spiro said: “I’ve been retained by Mr. Paul to pursue legal redress for the damages he has suffered. If someone uses their public soapbox to harm him and the sport with lies, there will be consequences.”
