On May 6, 2016, Roger Gracie battled it out with Michal Pasternak at ONE: Ascent to Power at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
Inside the very first round, the superstar locked in an arm-triangle choke that left his opponent out cold on the canvas.
In an exclusive interview with Bloody Elbow, Gracie reflected on his crowning moment.
The 43-year-old beamed: “It was pretty awesome.
“You win a belt and you’re the world champion. I had a good run in MMA. It’s the path of every Gracie; at some point in their lives, you have to do MMA.
“There was something behind my ears since I was a kid, ‘If you choose the path to be a Gracie fighter, inevitably you’re going to have to do MMA’.
“To do my last fight in One Championship was pretty awesome.”
