Daniel Cormier named the biggest overachiever in UFC history… ‘No one has done more with less’

Daniel Cormier believes one UFC star achieved an awful lot with little talent.

‘DC’ is undeniably one of the greatest fighters of all time.

Cormier destroyed Dan Henderson in a brutal display and has now become one of the most respected analysts on the planet.

With that in mind, he’s the perfect person to break down the world’s best mixed martial artists.

Daniel Cormier says Colby Covington is the UFC’s biggest overachiever

Daniel Cormier believes Colby Covington has managed to do far more in combat sports than his natural ability warrants.

The former two-weight world champion is very impressed by what his countryman has managed to do.

In an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience from last year, Cormier said: “I believe Joe, for everyone we watch, in this beautiful sport that we have the honor of calling, no one has done more with less than Colby Covington.

“He’s not the biggest, he’s not the fastest, he’s not the strongest, but he wins.

“With those abilities, he’s become a 2x NCAA champion and become a UFC interim champion.

“Nothing about Colby jumps off the page; he’s as meat and potatoes as it gets. [He’s got] volume and cardio, but that comes with hard work.

“He’s not going to outjump or run faster than anyone, but with his abilities, he has done that.”

Daniel Cormier claimed one of his opponents stunned him with every single shot

Cormier has earned the right to comment on the best in the business through his own fantastic performances inside the cage.

Showcasing grit and determination, the wrestler was willing to do everything in his power to try and beat whoever was put in front of him.

Opening up about one of his toughest fights, Cormier confessed a rival hurt him with every shot.
