Terence Crawford established himself as boxing’s pound-for-pound best just eight days ago.
‘Bud’ beat Canelo Alvarez by unanimous decision to become the undisputed super middleweight champion on September 13.
While Terence Crawford is still celebrating a career-best win, others are preparing for his retirement.
Former two-weight champion Tim Bradley believes he knows who will be the next pound-for-pound number one.

Terence Crawford’s P4P successor named
Tim Bradley recently took to his YouTube channel to speculate about Terence Crawford’s P4P successor.
The former two-weight world champion says Shakur Stevenson is ‘the next GOAT up on that throne’.
Stevenson boasts a 24-0 record and has proudly held the WBC lightweight title since November 2023.
“Who’s next to take over the throne when Crawford retires?” Bradley said on his YouTube channel.
“I got an idea. His name is Shakur Stevenson. You heard it here first.
“Believe me or don’t believe me. Shakur Stevenson is going to be the next GOAT up on that throne.”
Shakur Stevenson wants Terence Crawford to retire
Shakur Stevenson counts Terence Crawford as a long-time friend and training partner.
The 28-year-old rising star urged his ‘brother’ to retire after watching him beat Canelo Alvarez.
“For him to be this far along and all these years, I think he’s number one,” Stevenson told the Ariel Helwani Show.
“I don’t wanna see him fight anymore. I don’t. It’s just a lot, it’s a lot. From training camps, the wear and tear on your body, and me being his brother, I really have endless love for this guy. I don’t wanna see (him fight again). I think he’s done everything in the sport that he can do.
“There’s nothing else that can be done. He made one of the best fighters of our generation look average, and I think that’s a huge accomplishment, and I think it’s time for him to retire on his high horse.”
