Alex Pereira shows he faces huge weight cut after stepping on the scale two weeks before UFC 320

Alex Pereira has a lot of weight to lose ahead of his rematch with Magomed Ankalaev.

The Russian light heavyweight took his title with a unanimous decision win at UFC 313 in March.

Alex Pereira and Magomed Ankalaev will rematch for 205lb gold at UFC 320 on October 4.

On Saturday, ‘Poatan’ hopped on a scale to show his Instagram followers how much weight he must lose to make weight 14 days from now.

Alex Pereira reveals his current weight

Alex Pereira currently weighs 106.2kg, which roughly translates to slightly more than 234lbs.

The 38-year-old now faces an intense weight cut as he attempts to lose 29lbs in the next two weeks.

Pereira is known for shedding a ton of weight ahead of his fights, so that shouldn’t be a problem.

Still, some fans were worried after finding out exactly what he will go through before rematching Ankalaev.

Seems very heavy 2 weeks out,” one fan said. While another added: “Insane they lose that much water weight.”

“All this just to go to sleep,” an Ankalaev supporter commented.

“Why is he cutting 30 pounds in 2 weeks?” Someone else asked.

“UFC must make illegal cutting,” another X user insisted.

“So this mad lad is gonna cut 15 kilos in 2 weeks? Insane,” a sixth fan tweeted.
