An emerging light heavyweight prospect has taken the mixed martial arts world by storm, and he will continue to do so if he has the career of the fighter he associates with the most.
Turning in career win number five over the weekend, German upstart Frederic Vosgrone needed just four minutes and change to keep his unbeaten record intact, finishing Fabio Moraes with a rear-naked choke win.
Registering his second straight victory with OKTAGON with his win, Vosgrone has drawn significant comparisons to surging UFC lightweight star Paddy Pimblett.
But if you ask him, he has a much more daunting preference in mind when it comes to comparisons for fans and pundits.

Frederic Vosgrone compares himself to ‘scary’ Brock Lesnar
Boasting a massive physique for the light heavyweight limit, the hulking Vosgrone claims he prefers comparisons to former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar to anybody else.
And it’s not just his physical appearance which leads to similarities; Vosgrone has so far proved untouchable in his brief career in combat sports — akin to pro wrestling icon Lesnar.
“Many years ago, when I competed on the UK grappling scene, I remember Paddy Pimblett posting a picture of me on Instagram because people messaged him saying that I looked like him,” Vosgrone told talkSPORT.
“…And Brock Lesnar, too. I remember in Brazil, when I was training there as a purple belt, many years ago, they would always call me Brock Lesnar. It’s a pretty cool comparison.
“Brock Lesnar is much scarier than Paddy Pimblett, so I’ll stick with Brock Lesnar,” Vosgrone continued.
Frederic Vosgrone throws OKTAGON future into doubt
Turning in a pair of victories in the leading European promotion, it seems Vosgrone isn’t planning on sticking around too long under the scrutiny of OKTAGON, however.
During his post-fight press conference, the German talent ripped the promotion, calling into question their apparent treatment of him.
Naturally, comparisons to Lesnar will only gather steam if Vosgrone eventually makes a move to the UFC — which has already been suggested by numerous fans on social media after his latest win.
