5. Terence Crawford vs. Julius Indongo
Crawford became the undisputed Light Welterweight champion of the world when he finished off Julius Indongo just three rounds into their title unification bout back in 2017.
What started off as a tense tactical battle descended into domination for Bud, who took control in the second round and never relented until knocking him out in the third.
The win cemented Crawford as the undisputed champion, the first time of three that he would become the holder of all four belts in a weight division.
4. Terence Crawford vs. Amir Khan
Amir Khan was no match for Crawford when they battled in Madison Square Garden at the tail end of the Briton’s career.
Their 2019 bout was a chilling reminder that the younger, quicker Bud had passed Khan by, and he was on borrowed time at the top.
Khan’s attacks were useless against the constant dodges and feints of Crawford. The American barely felt a scratch from his opponent as he dominated with a knockdown in the first round.
After that were five more rounds of waiting for the end, as Khan quit in his corner in the sixth round to hand Crawford a career-defining win.
3. Terence Crawford vs. Kell Brook
A fantastic change in stance prompted Crawford to charge to victory against Kell Brook when the pair faced off.
Brook got off to a fantastic start, dominating the early rounds and looking like he could be the first man to get a win against Crawford.
However, Crawford quickly recognized the issue. He changed stance to southpaw and continued the fight, nullifying Brook’s game plan while inflicting huge damage on the challenger.
A series of knockdowns saw Crawford finish Brook in the fourth round, ending the British fighter with a series of power punches to win the fight with ease.
2. Terence Crawford vs. Errol Spence Jr
A battle between two undefeated fighters only ends one way, and thankfully, this time, it was Crawford whose record remained intact.
The 39-0 Crawford battled Errol Spence Jr in a Welterweight unification fight, both men putting their world titles on the line in 2023.
Despite how good Spence had been up until that point, Crawford made him look decidedly average throughout their nine rounds of action.
He knocked out Spence in the second round and kept himself on top, using his counter punches to dominate the bout.
Crawford ended the fight when he knocked out Spence in the ninth round, sending him bloody and bruised to the mat before a flurry of punches upon the restart forced the referee’s hand to win him the bout and become the first two-time undisputed champion in history.
1. Terence Crawford vs Canelo Alvarez
This was the big one. The one that took Crawford from “best in the world” to “all-time great” over 12 rounds, making history in the process.
When the fight between Canelo Alvarez and Crawford was first announced, it was met with worry. Super Middleweight was a huge jump up from Bud’s usual weight, and there were concerns it would be a step too far.
Most predictions had Canelo dominating his smaller opponent, owing to his own impressive run of just 2 defeats in his career, which included a loss to the legendary Floyd Mayweather.
That just made it even sweeter when Crawford proved them all wrong. He outboxed Canelo, frustrating him as he refused to allow him to utilize his power punching, stopping the undisputed champion from having a chance against his quicker opponent.
While his power did not extend to 168 lbs, Crawford was the better man over 12 rounds, securing the biggest win of his career to become the first-ever three-time undisputed world champion in boxing history.
