Jake Ellenberger landed a vicious body kick with the help of a UFC and Glory star.
Now retired from MMA, ‘The Juggernaut’ has taken up acting, with Ellenberger recently revealing behind-the-scenes stories with Michael Bisping from filming Atlas King.
His character in the film, ‘Pitbull’, loves a good old-fashioned fight, making it an easy role for the athlete to take on.
However, before Ellenberger’s days on the big screen, he landed some nasty finishes, including one over a fan favorite.

Giga Chikadze helped Jake Ellenberger finish Matt Brown
On July 30, 2016, Jake Ellenberger landed a magnificent body kick, followed by ground and pound to finish Matt Brown.
However, the shot wasn’t a moment of mayhem on the night, but a move he spent countless hours practicing with his teammate.
In an exclusive interview with Bloody Elbow, Ellenberger said: “That kick, Giga Chikadze, one of the producers on this film (Atlas King), we’ve been close for many years, we trained that kick for four months.
“We knew that was a weak point. Strategizing, we knew we could take advantage there. Fights are so chaotic, and it never goes the way you plan.
“Guys will say, ‘It went exactly as planned’. No, it didn’t. It never does.
“That was a chaotic fight. Matt is always dangerous, and he’s got a high pace.
“I knew I had to shut him down in some way. There were times when it was going back and forth.
“It went from me almost finishing him, to him coming back and landing on me. I knew if I could get that opportunity, I could finish the fight.
“That liver kick, watching Giga Chikadze do that so many times in Glory, and now in the UFC, he’s so precise with placement.
“I knew if we got the opening, if you can land that, it’s a fight over kick.”
