5 fighters who could earn UFC contracts on episode 7 of Dana White’s Contender Series including a 9-0 Featherweight

10 more hopefuls battle for UFC contracts in episode 7 of the 9th season of Dana White’s Contender Series

Four fighters were handed UFC contracts by Dana White in the last episode, including one fighter who recently lost his father.

With most episodes of this series seeing White hand out multiple UFC deals, there is a good chance that we can see even more hopefuls being welcomed into the UFC roster by the end of episode 7.

Here are five fighters who could win UFC deals on the next episode of Dana White’s Contender Series.

5. Brahyan Zurcher

One of the fighters who looks likely to impress on the next episode of Dana White’s Contender Series is the undefeated former PFL fighter Brahyan Zurcher.

Zurcher was one of the top prospects in the PFL, going undefeated as he racked up a 9-0 career record en route to getting his opportunity to earn a UFC contract.

He was in talks to debut for the promotion at Noche UFC 3, but the Mexican will instead have to settle for a bout at the UFC APEX against another 9-0 prospect, Murtazali Magomedov.

4. Javier Reyes

At 31 years old, Javier Reyes has more experience than anyone else on this episode of Dana White’s Contender Series, which puts him in good standing ahead of his upcoming fight.

With his submission victory over Lance Lawrence in LFA earlier this year, Reyes extended his record to 21 victories and just 5 losses.

While losing that many fights could signal a worry, he has gained valuable experience that only defeats can teach, and shown he hasn’t dodged any tough fights.

This experience and his clear talent in the octagon should be enough to earn Reyes a UFC contract, although he is still in the dark over who his opponent on episode 7 will be!

3. Jeisla Chaves

With 5 wins and zero defeats, Jeisla Chaves looks primed to impress as she takes on Sofia Montenegro on this episode.

While still early in her career, the 28-year-old Brazilian has shown promise in the octagon, landing 3 knockout victories already.

She has the size advantage over Montenegro, who herself has only 7 fights to her name, and could land a contract with another KO win at the UFC APEX.

2. Dani Barbir

The main event of episode 7 of Dana White’s Contender Series looks too close to call, but we’ve gone with the Croatian fighter Dani Barbir.

Barbir is part of the Zagreb wing of American Top Team and has excelled by training under them. In his 7 bouts so far, none have gone past the 2nd round, and all have finished by either knockout or submission.

His opponent, Mantas Kondratavičius, also has an impressive record, but Barbir could do enough to finish him in three rounds to earn his UFC deal on Tuesday night.

1. Rafael Tobias

As a 22-year-old with 14 fights under his belt, things are looking positive for Rafael Tobias going into his fight with Jair de Oliveira.

With a single loss, coming two years ago, the impressive Light Heavyweight looks to be one of the most impressive prospects on this year’s show.

His 13 wins have come with 5 knockouts and 5 submissions, as Tobias looks to be a threat from all angles in the octagon.

He has vastly more experience than his 6-0 opponent and should have what it takes to earn a contract from Dana White at the end of the night.
