The viewing figures for the historic title fight between Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford this past Saturday have been revealed.
This past Saturday, one of the biggest boxing fights in recent years took place, as Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford clashed for the undisputed super middleweight title at the Allegiant Stadium.
Despite being a big underdog going into the fight because of the fact he was moving up multiple weight classes, Crawford went on to dominate the Mexican, dethroning him to become the new undisputed king.
Ahead of the event, promoter Dana White claimed it was set to reach historic gate figures, and not long removed from the event, the gate figure was confirmed, landing it in the top three biggest gates of all time.

Jake Paul’s promotion reacts to confirmed viewership figures for Canelo vs Crawford
The figures keep coming in for the historic title fight, which saw Canelo leave the ring without a title for the first time in seven years.
After it was confirmed that the gate exceeded $47 million, the viewership figures were then released, with the event attracting over 41 million viewers worldwide.
Despite the astonishing numbers, it garnered less than half the amount of viewers than Jake Paul‘s controversial fight against Mike Tyson last November.
And not long after, Paul’s boxing promotion, Most Valuable Promotions reacted to the figures, saying: “Congratulations to Netflix on setting viewership records for most watched fights this century since airing their first live professional sporting event in November 2024. Live sports has changed forever.”
Although ‘The Problem Child’ is one of the most controversial figures in the sport of this era, it is undeniable the impact he is having on the popularity of the sport of boxing.
With his fight against Tyson being the first major live sporting event to be live-streamed on Netflix, his brother Logan Paul has credited him as the one who ‘pioneered’ the death of the PPV model.
