Coming under fire off the back of a stellar, unbeaten career, Floyd Mayweather’s run in the sport has once more been dissected.
Expected to make his return to the ring next spring, former multiple-weight world champion Floyd Mayweather is slated to take on former heavyweight kingpin Mike Tyson in an exhibition showdown.
The outing will come as the latest in a long list of recent exhibition clashes for the Michigan star, who ended his career in the ring off the back of a 50-0 career, bookended by a knockout win over Conor McGregor in 2017.
However, ahead of his fight with Tyson, the Grand Rapids megastar has seen his career and résumé come under the microscope once more.

Floyd Mayweather sees his career examined by Max Kellerman
Seeing his name hit the spotlight once more this week, Mayweather has been circulating regarding talk of Terence Crawford’s stunning upset win over common foe Canelo Alvarez.
And given his own dominance across three separate divisions as undisputed champion, Crawford has now seen his legacy compared to Mayweather’s, with many maintaining the Nebraska star has already overtaken the retired star as the best boxer of the century.
As far as veteran boxing analyst Max Kellerman is concerned, however, Mayweather’s legacy takes the biggest hit when you dissect his record — claiming the former shied away from some notable fighters during his prime.
“Floyd (Mayweather) picked and chose when he fought guys, especially once he left lightweight,” Kellerman told DAZN. “He wiped out the junior lightweights. Lightweight, he jumped up to fight Jose Luis Castillo, first thing, a lot of people think he lost that fight, I didn’t.
“But once he left lightweight, he was careful about when he fought guys,” Kellerman explained. “So, even though his resume is deeper with names, people remember he didn’t want it with certain dudes at certain times.”
A fellow pundit of Kellerman has also dissected the record of Mayweather, and candidly claimed Crawford trumps his career, too.

And comparing the duo’s astonishing unbeaten careers, Smith suggested Crawford edges Mayweather at the moment.
