Ilia Topuria isn’t the only UFC superstar who wants to box Terence Crawford.
On Saturday night, the undefeated Terence Crawford cemented his legacy by going up several weight classes to take on the legendary Canelo Alvarez.
After 12 rounds of boxing action, Crawford was awarded the undisputed super middleweight title and made history as the only male boxer to become an undisputed champion in three weight classes in the four-belt era.
There was a lot made of Crawford’s walk-out to the ring, as he used Ilia Topuria’s usual song ‘Cancion del Mariachi’.
Topuria has expressed much interest in boxing Crawford in a not-so-likely super-fight, as UFC CEO Dana White ruled it out as a possibility.
Stockton’s Nate Diaz, who is not under UFC contract, is the latest MMA fighter to shoot his shot at Crawford.

Nate Diaz wants boxing return against Terence Crawford
Unlike Topuria, Diaz has made the walk to the boxing ring twice since his UFC departure in 2022.
The Conor McGregor slayer is currently 1-1 as a pro boxer, having lost his highly-anticipated debut against Jake Paul in 2023.
The former UFC title challenger got back on track with a controversial decision win over BMF rival Jorge Masvidal in July 2024. Diaz hasn’t fought since.
Following his legacy-defining title win over Canelo, Diaz had just two words for Crawford.
“Crawford next,” Diaz wrote on X with a ‘target’ emoji.

While Diaz is one of the biggest stars in MMA, it goes without saying that he is now 40 years old.
Granted, the 37-year-old Crawford isn’t far from hitting 40 himself, but he looked like he was in his prime against Canelo.
Many fans criticized a younger Topuria entertaining a fight with Crawford, as they did with Diaz.
“You lost to Jake Paul bro,” one fan said of Diaz calling for Crawford.
“The Crawford that opened the main card?” another fan joked about Travis Crawford, another boxer who fought on the Canelo-Crawford undercard.
“How can you still talk like this after Jake Paul punched you around?” another fan said of Diaz.
