Ilia Topuria has posted for the first time since Terence Crawford’s historic boxing win.
The UFC lightweight champion was going back and forth with ‘Bud’ in the build-up to his unanimous decision victory over Canelo Alvarez on Saturday night.
So, it seemed like an indirect shot when Terence Crawford walked out to Cancion Del Mariachi.
The song by Antonio Banderas has become synonymous with Ilia Topuria. Just last month, ‘El Matador’ sent 80,000 crazy by performing his walkout song at a festival.

Ilia Topuria reacts to Terence Crawford’s walkout song
Terence Crawford appeared to have no idea his walkout song would be such a talking point.
The 37-year-old claimed to be unaware that Ilia Topuria uses Cancion Del Mariachi before his UFC fights.
Still, the pound-for-pound best fighter in MMA felt a certain type of way after the biggest event of 2025.
“First he calls me drunk… then he walks out to MY song,” Topuria tweeted on Sunday morning.
“Crawford, whenever you want, I’ll teach you how to dance that mariachi in the ring.
“And Canelo, I’ll save you a round after him.”
Ilia Topuria believes Dana White will back boxing move
Earlier in the evening, Ilia Topuria provided an update on his potential move into the sport of boxing.
The 28-year-old believes he’ll convince Dana White to let him box amid his beef with Terence Crawford.
MMA’s most powerful man isn’t a fan of seeing his UFC fighters cross over to the squared circle.
“It’s something I want to do, and I don’t think [Dana] will tell me he doesn’t want to help me achieve my dream,” Topuria said at a press conference in Spain on Saturday night.
“I’ll have his support, I have no doubt about that. It’ll take some convincing, but I’m sure it’ll work out.”
