Daniel Cormier was quick to call out a referee for failing to do his job at Noche UFC.
The UFC Hall of Famer was in the commentary booth with Dominick Cruz and Brandon Fitzgerald on Saturday night.
A great event was somewhat soured by a knocked-out fighter taking way more shots than necessary.
The unfortunate incident occurred when Alexander Hernandez and Diego Ferreira clashed on the Noche UFC main card.

Daniel Cormier calls out Noche UFC referee
In round two, Hernandez caught his opponent with the same shot that KO’d Chase Hooper at UFC 319.
Ferreira collapsed to the floor after running onto a nasty overhand right at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas
The 40-year-old was still awake but failed to defend himself as Hernandez rained down with ground strikes.
We counted 14 punches that landed before the referee finally stepped in and saved Ferreira.
Hernandez bounced his head off the floor with the final few, which had Cormier uncomfortably calling for the referee to ‘stop the fight’. ‘DC’ called out the official when he watched back the finish in slow motion.
Fans fume at late stoppage
Soon after, fans took to social media to criticize the referee for his late stoppage.
“Ref forgot he was a referee,” one fan said. While another added: “Ref wanted to see a dead body.”
“This ref needs to be freakin fired bro!!!! Absolutely awful man,” a third person fumed.
“Ref sleeping on that one fr. Should’ve stepped in WAY earlier,” someone else tweeted.
“Ref was drunk or what? Horrible stoppage,” another angry fan commented.
“Jesus ref he’s dead,” a sixth person wrote.
