Diego Lopes and Jean Silva were supposed to settle their beef on Saturday night.
The featherweight duo clashed multiple times in the lead-up to their fight at Noche UFC.
When it was finally time to throw down, Diego Lopes and Jean Silva delivered a Fight of the Year contender, which ended in a spinning back elbow knockout win for the Mexico-based Brazilian fan favorite.
Unfortunately, another blow was landed when the pair clashed during an ugly post-fight incident.

Jean Silva’s post-fight attack on Diego Lopes
Jean Silva sat on the floor covered in blood after suffering the first loss of his UFC career.
Meanwhile, Diego Lopes went over to his opponent’s corner and spoke with his coaches.
It’s unclear what was said, but the winner appeared to be getting his point across in a passionate manner.
Silva didn’t like that, so he threw a stool in the direction of the man who had just knocked him out.
Lopes attempted to walk away before Silva stood up and aimed a punch at the back of his head.
Thankfully, security intervened, and the final strike of the night missed its intended target.
Lerone Murphy reacts to Noche UFC
Lerone Murphy immediately called himself Alexander Volkanovski’s next challenger after Noche UFC.
“It’s on!!!! Let’s go, Volkanovski. That was a great fight though,” the 17-0-1 contender tweeted.
In August, ‘The Miracle’ scored a highlight reel knockout win over Aaron Pico at UFC 319.
The only thing potentially standing in the way of him and a featherweight title shot was Jean Silva.
A win over Diego Lopes could’ve seen the ‘Fight Nerd’ skip to the front of the 145lb queue.
Lopes is unlikely to get the next shot at Volkanovski after being outpointed by him at UFC 314 in April.
We now have to wait for Dana White to announce what’s next for the UFC featherweight title.
