Jean Silva and Diego Lopes couldn’t wait an extra day until their fight as security had to step in to stop them from clashing in a parking lot.
This coming Saturday, the premier promotion’s third annual Noche UFC takes place from San Antonio, Texas, as featherweight contenders Diego Lopes and Jean Silva clash in the main event.
Ahead of the biggest fight of his career thus far and his first UFC main event, ‘Lord’ Silva has involved himself in a separate and bizarre feud with Paulo Costa, claiming that he will fight the Brazilian in the streets.
And Silva’s street fighting mentality came out again this Friday when he and Lopes almost clashed in a parking lot ahead of their fight.

Silva and Lopes separated by security during near clash in parking lot
This Friday afternoon, both featherweights took to the scale for the official weigh-ins to make their guaranteed fire fight official.
Thankfully for the fanbase, both fighters hit the mark and their fight was made official thereafter. However, chaos almost ensued just hours after the official weigh-ins as both fighters were being transported to the ceremonial weigh-ins.
A video shared on X by Full Violence showed both fighters being separated by security in a parking lot as they shouted back and forth at each other.
Initially, Lopes was sat in the passenger seat of a car, waiting to be transferred to the arena, and Silva was sat in a waiting room waiting for his transport.
What started as what looked like a stare off between the two, things quickly became heated as Lopes jumped out of the car and began shouting at Silva and his team.
The 28-year-old jumped up shortly after and attempted to make his way towards Lopes before being held back by security and other members of his team.
“Dude was bothered because of the coaches on my team were looking at him. Nothing was said, just a look. If Diego is bothered by people staring at him, then I guess he wasn’t born to be a champion,” Silva told Full Violence.
Silva could secure himself a title shot with win over Lopes
‘Lord’ Silva is riding an extremely impressive five fight win streak, and is rapidly gaining popularity among the fanbase.
With Lopes having fought for the title in his last outing, a win for Silva would undoubtedly secure himself a title shot in his next outing.
