Dana White reveals plan to have 85,000 fans ‘take over’ Washington for UFC White House event

The UFC White House event in 2026 is set to be one of the biggest events the promotion has ever put on, and Dana White continues to provide some of the finer details.

As soon as Donald Trump announced plans to host a UFC event at the White House in 2026, fans immediately knew that it would be one of the most sought after events in the promotion’s history.

It was unclear at the beginning whether it was just a pipe dream and wouldn’t end up happening, however, UFC boss Dana White recently announced that he attended the White House to talk plans with the President.

And following their meeting, it was announced that the event will officially take place in June, a month before the originally planned date.

Dana White reveals new White House event plans

With it being such a unique event, plans continue to take shape and the details continue to leak down to the UFC fans.

And the UFC boss has recently provided even more details about the event, touching on how many fans may be able to attend the festivities.

“So, we went to the White House last week, me and my team and we had the first meeting with him. We laid out all the renderings and we started to get him to sign off on what he likes and what he doesn’t like,” White told The Herd.

“He loved it so now we’re diving in head first now all the work starts. This last time I was at the White House, I went up on the roof and they’ve got snipers with 50 cals all over the roof, it’s pretty crazy.

“The security is gonna be a massive issue because at the end of the day, Secret Service’s job is to protect the president and I don’t know how it’s gonna work out as far as having people there live on the lawn of the White House.

“It will be under 5000 though but I can’t remember what they call it, there’s a park that’s connected to the White House, we could put 85,000 people over there with screens and we’re gonna put a big stage out there and do concerts, we’re gonna take over Washington DC that whole week,” White revealed.

Who will headline the UFC White House event?

At this point, it is anyone’s game for who will headline the historic event. Former UFC heavyweight champion and consensus greatest of all time Jon Jones declared his interest in headlining the event, but White poured cold water on that.

Former UFC double champion Conor McGregor is also planning on making his return on the event, and if he does return, it is likely that he will be the main event, despite it likely not being a title fight.

As the promotion did for the monumental UFC 300 event, there will likely be several title fights scattered on the card, making it one of the strongest cards on paper ever.
