The top boxers in the world are some of the best-paid people in sports, commanding up to hundreds of millions per fight for the top performers.
The most popular boxers can command significant fees just for showing up, as their fame and stardom draw eyes in the arena and on pay-per-view all over the globe.
The upcoming super fight between Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford has already drawn massive money, boasting the third-largest gate in boxing history.
Canelo isn’t missing out on a slice of that pie, as he picks up one of the largest paydays in boxing history at number five on our list.

5. Canelo Alvarez in 2025 ($100-$150 million)
Ahead of his fight with Terence Crawford, Canelo Alvarez is reported to be one of the highest-paid fighters in the world today.
The Mexican champion is said to be earning over $100 million for the fight, over 10 times what Crawford has admitted he will get for his role in the fight.
Dana White admitted the reported fee was “probably” true, with Canelo expected to earn up to $150 million once additional revenue streams are counted at the end of the fight.
This bout is part of his $400 million deal with Riyadh Seasons, so there are plenty more big-money fights to come for Canelo in the near future.
4. Conor McGregor ($125-$160 million)
Not only is Conor McGregor fourth on this list, but he certainly had the biggest payday for a fighter on his boxing debut in history.
Of course, the situation surrounding this bout was unique. McGregor was one of the most popular fighters in the world, holding two title belts at once in the UFC, something nobody had ever done before.
His trash-talking had gotten him into a lot of fights over the years, including this blockbuster bout against the 49-0 Floyd Mayweather.
McGregor was paid around $150 million for his part in the fight, lasting 11 rounds before being knocked out by the undefeated legend in a spirited debut performance.
3. Manny Pacquiao in 2015 ($130 million)
In 2015, arguably the biggest fight in boxing history took place between five-weight world champion Mayweather and eight-weight world champion Manny Pacquiao.
The two legends fought, six years after they nearly battled in their prime, to a 12-round draw in front of one of the hottest crowds in boxing history.
The super fight slightly disappointed once the bell rang, but Pacquiao’s bank account certainly had few complaints when checking his fight fee after the fact.
The Filipino fighter reportedly landed a $130 million windfall for the fight, giving him the third-highest payday in boxing history.
2. Floyd Mayweather in 2015 ($240 million-$250 million)
Mayweather took home a much bigger share of the purse when fighting Pacquiao, despite the massive amount the Filipino earned.
The bout between the two legends drew a higher gate than any other fight in history, with over $70 million worth of tickets contributing to “Money’s” massive payday.
He walked away with around $250 million for the battle, which was a slight letdown of a super fight when they went 12 rounds before the judges awarded Mayweather the victory.
1. Floyd Mayweather in 2017 ($250 million-$300 million)
In the same fight that earned McGregor over $100 million, Mayweather added to his already considerable wealth in the final professional fight of his career in 2017.
Despite the Pacquiao fight being the highest-drawing event in history, Mayweather’s star power commanded an even bigger fee when taking on McGregor.
He was paid upwards of a quarter of a billion dollars to fight the former UFC Champion, putting his undefeated streak on the line at the end of a legendary career.
Mayweather extended his record past Rocky Marciano’s 49-0 streak to retire from professional boxing as an unbeaten legend, at the expense of McGregor in his sole outing in the ring.
